HPC Energy Efficiency

image

Energy efficiency is a critical challenge in modern supercomputing, where power and cooling constraints impact both operational costs and sustainability. My research focuses on developing data-driven frameworks that optimize energy usage at scale, integrating real-time sensor data with advanced modeling to enhance facility cooling, workload-aware power management, and system-wide efficiency.

Beyond technical innovations, I serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in HPC energy efficiency at OLCF, advising internal leadership and engaging the broader HPC community through invited talks, workshops, and panel discussions. By shaping energy-aware best practices and collaborating across research, industry, and operations, I help ensure that leadership-class supercomputers meet exascale demands sustainably and responsibly.
